Dog Boarding

At our kennel the dogs are taken outside to walk, play and socialize in a supervised environment throughout the day and evening.

We welcome all breeds, ages, shapes, and sizes of dogs. All dogs receive plenty of attention and exercise.

Inside our kennel the dogs stay in individual 4' by 8' runs. If you have two or more dogs it is possible for them to share a run.

The kennel is kept at a comfortable temperature year round with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. The kennel is kept as clean and odour free as possible.

Once we get to know your dog they may be taken on a walk or swim outside of the fenced area. We have over 200 acres of farmland and lake front for them to explore on extended group walks.

FAQs

  • You are welcome to bring anything you think will make your dog the most comfortable.

    We suggest you bring your dog's food, bed or a blanket and some treats. We do have dog beds, blankets and treats available at no extra cost. There is an extra charge if you want to use our food.

  • Yes. If your dog enjoys playing with other dogs they will have lots of time to socialize in a supervised environment. If your dog is not good at socializing (i.e. nervous or aggressive) they will be taken out alone.

  • Please try the doorbell first. We may not have seen you arrive.

    Sometimes we may not be home when you arrive to pick up or drop off your dog.

    If you feel comfortable, you are welcome to place your dog in a kennel or pick up your dog by yourself.

    My father Arthur lives on the property and is available to help if I am not home. He can be reached at 902 543 8487 or 902 527 3275 or just follow our driveway to his house.

  • All dogs are required to have up to date vaccinations. I do not require documents showing proof of vaccination.

    Please ensure that your kennel cough (Borditella) vaccine is up to date. It is similar to whooping cough in humans and is highly contagious.

  • We do accept unneutered males. His opportunity to socialize may be limited depending on how he interacts with others.

    We reserve the right to refuse boarding for any dog that is overly aggressive.
